Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions form an agreement between you and Techrobane Studio (operating as WeddingInvites.lk), a Sri Lankan business providing digital wedding invitation design services. By placing an order — whether through this website, WhatsApp, or any other channel — you accept these terms.

Under the Electronic Transactions Act, No. 19 of 2006 of Sri Lanka, contracts formed electronically (including orders placed and confirmed over WhatsApp or email) are legally valid and enforceable. Your confirmation message and our acceptance together form a binding agreement.

We design custom digital wedding invitations delivered as a live, shareable invitation link. Once your order and payment are confirmed, our designer creates a personalised invitation based on the details you provide — names, date, venue, photos, and style preferences. Optional features include a countdown timer, Google Maps location, RSVP, photo gallery, and background music.

• All prices are quoted in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) and include design work as described in your package.
• Payment is by bank transfer. Design work begins only after your payment is verified.
• Use your full name as the payment reference, and send a clear photo or screenshot of the payment slip via WhatsApp if requested.
• We may cancel orders whose payment cannot be verified within 48 hours.
• A quotation we send you is valid for 7 days unless stated otherwise.

• A design preview is sent within 24 hours of payment confirmation (on business days).
• Standard packages include up to 2 rounds of revisions at no extra cost.
• Final delivery occurs within 24 hours of your written approval of the preview.
• Major layout or concept changes after design work has started may incur additional charges — we will always quote these before proceeding.
• Your live invitation link remains active for 12 months from delivery. Extensions can be arranged on request before expiry.

As a consumer, you are protected by the Consumer Affairs Authority Act, No. 9 of 2003. Our refund policy operates alongside — and does not limit — those statutory protections.

• Full refund if we cannot begin your design within 5 business days of payment verification.
• Full refund if we fail to deliver the agreed final product.
• No refund once design work has commenced and is delivered as agreed, since the service is personalised to you.
• If you supply incorrect information (names, date, venue) that requires a full re-design, additional charges may apply.
• Refund requests must be made within 14 days of payment. Approved refunds are returned to the originating bank account within 7 business days.

Same-day or next-day delivery may be available at an additional charge. Contact us on WhatsApp before placing your order to confirm availability and pricing. Rush timelines are commitments of best effort and depend on you providing complete, accurate details and prompt approvals.

Copyright in original designs is protected under the Intellectual Property Act, No. 36 of 2003 of Sri Lanka.

• Once your order is delivered and paid in full, you receive a personal, non-commercial licence to share and use your digital invitation freely with your guests.
• The underlying design system, templates, and code remain the intellectual property of Techrobane Studio.
• Content you supply (photos, names, text) remains yours. You confirm you have the right to use it — including permission from your photographer where their work is copyrighted.
• We may showcase your invitation in our portfolio (excluding personal contact details such as phone numbers and email addresses) unless you ask us not to in writing — before or after delivery.

• Ensure all details (names, date, venue, links) are accurate before submitting your order.
• Provide a valid Sri Lankan mobile number for WhatsApp updates.
• Respond to preview requests and revision queries promptly — delays on your end extend the delivery timeline.
• Do not use the invitation link to publish content that is false, defamatory, obscene, or unlawful, including content that would contravene the Computer Crimes Act, No. 24 of 2007 or the Online Safety Act, No. 9 of 2024.

We may suspend or take down an invitation link that is reported and reasonably found to host unlawful content, after notifying you where practicable.

We process your personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022 and our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and the rights you can exercise. We never sell your personal information.

To the maximum extent permitted by Sri Lankan law, Techrobane Studio is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of our services — for example, losses caused by guests misreading details that were approved by you, or by temporary unavailability of third-party services (WhatsApp, Google Maps, hosting providers).

Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Sri Lankan law, including liability arising under consumer protection legislation.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you place your order is the version that applies to that order. Material changes will be indicated by an updated effective date at the top of this page.
